Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about buying shipping labels with Bitcoin and Monero.
Do I need an account?+
No. Every order gets a one-time recovery link you can bookmark. Accounts are optional and only needed if you want to view all past orders in one place.
Can I buy USPS labels with Bitcoin?+
Yes. Select USPS at checkout, choose your service (First-Class, Priority Mail, Ground Advantage, etc.), and pay with BTC. Your label is generated and ready to print the moment the transaction confirms on-chain.
Can I pay with Monero (XMR)?+
Yes. Monero is supported alongside Bitcoin. XMR payments offer additional privacy at the network level since Monero transactions are private by default. Select XMR at checkout and pay from any standard Monero wallet.
What carriers do you support?+
USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Rates are fetched live from carrier APIs so you always see accurate, real-time pricing. More carriers are on the roadmap.
Are labels generated before payment?+
Never. Labels are only purchased after on-chain confirmation. This is enforced server-side — there is no manual override or early release.
How private is this?+
CryptoPostage is designed to minimize the shipment data we retain — it is not a tool for evading the law. No account or email is required to check out. Sender and recipient addresses are encrypted while we create your label and removed after processing. Carrier labels still legally require a valid sender and recipient address.
Do you store my shipping addresses?+
Only while your label is being created. Addresses are AES-256-GCM encrypted per-shipment and the decryption key is destroyed once the label is purchased, so the stored payload can no longer be read. We never store sender or recipient addresses in plaintext.
How are prices calculated?+
Live carrier rate plus a small published platform fee. The full cost breakdown — carrier subtotal, platform fee, and crypto amount at the current exchange rate — is shown before you pay. No hidden fees.
What happens if a payment expires?+
Crypto invoices expire after a set window (typically 60 minutes). If your payment expires before confirming, the order is cancelled and no label is generated. You can create a new order at any time — no penalty or lock-out.
Can I create multiple labels in one order?+
Yes. Use the bulk upload feature to create up to 500 labels from a CSV in a single order and payment. All labels are generated and available for download after one on-chain confirmation.
What happens if I lose my recovery link?+
Go to the Recovery page and enter the crypto address you sent payment to — that address is unique to your order and lets us locate it. If you provided an email at checkout, you can also request a re-send from the same page.
